history of PORTFOLIOS ON THE BALLOT

Portfolios on the Ballot (POTB) is the first publication specifically designed to help investors vote their proxies with a system-level perspective. POTB first launched in spring 2023 as a pilot project flagging a handful of initiatives that supporters argued would protect the social and environmental systems that support all the companies in a diversified portfolio. Since that time, it has grown to a semi-annual publication flagging roughly 60-80 shareholder resolutions and vote-no campaigns over the course of each calendar year — with the same intention of highlighting shareholder actions that feature system-level risk argumentation in either the filing itself or supplementary materials.
